One of Economic Development Director Liz Hannum’s goals is to build Nashua’s brand and marketability. To do this she is starting the Define Nashua campaign to turn Nashua into a place that people can be excited about. First, she needs your help.
The Planning and Economic Development, and Personnel/Administration Affairs Committees approved the “Livable Nashua” Sustainability and Resilience Plan, which was presented by sustainability manager Deb Chisholm on Monday, April 8.
The signs were unanimously approved at the north side of a section of Arlington Avenue, on the east side of a section of Tolles Street, and on the south side of a section of Lock Street. A “no parking” sign on the north side of a section of Lake Street sparked discussion and divided the board, but ultimately passed with 10 in favor and five opposed.
The conversation centered around the city’s classification of recovery homes and single-family homes and addressed the dissatisfaction expressed by residents of Archery Lane – a single-family residential area – toward a recovery home at 16 Archery Lane during the last Board of Aldermen meeting on March 26.
